2012 is here and the UDS Board is planning a lot for this year. The 2012 show dates and the Short Tour Dressage series dates will be available by the end of January, so watch for them to be posted.

The UDS Roster has been updated. If you have renewed your membership, check the roster to make sure it has been received and processed. You will find the roster under the Membership/Benefits tab on left side of this page. If your name does not appear on the roster, please contact the UDS Membership Director. The Omnibus will be delivered shortly.

The Omnibus will be available in February, again get your membership new/renewals in now so you'll receive one as soon as they are available.

The Lilo Fore Clinic is coming right up. The registration for the clinic is open so sign up!

Lilo Fore Clinic - April 21-22, 2012. It will be at the Golden Spike in Ogden, Utah. The USDF Adult Clinic with Lilo Fore will be held in each of the nine regions and Region 5's clinic will be held here in Utah. The clinic is open to register NOW. The 2012 UDS Annual Show will be held August 25th & 26th at the NEW Wasatch Event Center in Heber, Utah. We are VERY excited about holding our 40th Anniversary Annual Show at this fabulous state-of-the art equestrian facility which features:

-New indoor stabling area providing 196, 12'x12' stalls with full door. The stabling area includes permanent bathrooms, cement aisles, plenty of well-placed water and elecgtrical outlets

-Full RV hook-ups with water, electrical and sewer connections within walking distance to the barn and arenas

-Showering facilities for humans

-Complete, up-to-date video and audio systems available throughout the grounds - think jumbotron

-Two complete concession areas - one concession area per arena complex

-A large outdoor stadium and an indoor stadium with its own indoor warm-up guaranteeing shows being held regardless of weather conditions

-Good understanding of the dressage community's footing needs, the staff has been to footing school

-And a wide range of resort lodging opportunities and experience for the competitor and their families.

Make plans NOW to join us next August and then return for the 2012 Region 5 Great American USDF Regional Championships which will be held the first weekend in October at the same facility. It's going to be a WONDERFUL year for dressage in Utah!

Membership Renewals

The new year for the UDS/USDF begins on December 1, 2011. You can renew your membership for 2012 any time. Click the Forms link on the left for a printable form or renew on-line using PayPal. The last newsletter for 2011 will be in November. January will start the new newsletter year. Be sure to renew so you don't miss any issues.

Get ready for the show season BEFORE the last minute this year. Renew you memberships on-line for:

• USDF (when you join the UDS, this membership is done for you)
• USEF
